Kriste Malone, Transition Specialist

Hi, I'm Kriste Malone and I've been with HISD for 25 years!  I spent my first 14 years teaching 8th grade English at HMS and loved every minute of it.  Twelve years ago, I moved into the position of Transition Coordinator with HISD's Special Services department. In this role, I truly enjoy getting to help students in this program set and reach their post secondary goals.  I work with students (8-12th grades) to find their strengths and interests that would serve them well in their future careers and/or employment goals.  I help them connect to agencies and services, provide job training, and create their High School schedules to support their career goals. It's truly rewarding to work with students in this capacity!
