The Governor of Texas has issued an Executive Order to temporarily close schools through Friday, April 3rd. We anticipate the Governor will make an announcement next week regarding this order. With that being said, Huntington ISD must plan and prepare for our students.
HISD will extend the school closing until Friday, April 10th. We have a great Learning Plan and Nutrition Plan in operation and will continue with our current system that is in place.
This situation is extremely "fluid" and we hope there is a resolution sooner than later. We will continue to monitor and will notify our HISD stakeholders with any updates to our current plan.
We continue to pray and plan for end-of-year activities. We would love to announce a return to campus soon, but at this time, we will "bite" these decisions off in small chunks.
