
HB 1481 mandated the prohibition of all telecommunication devices by students during the instructional school day including cell phones, smartwatches, pagers, tablets, etc. This will be enacted for all public schools in Texas and applies to all students unless directed by a student's IEP/medical plan. All devices will be kept at home or turned off and stored during the entirety of the instructional day.
