Purpose:
FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students
by promoting premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through
agricultural education. To accomplish this mission FFA:

Purpose:
T.A.F.E. is sponsored by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals
and is designed to create awareness of the teaching profession among high
school students in Texas. The objectives are:
- To recruit qualified youth to become teachers, to help eliminate
the shortages within the profession, and to strengthen requirements
for teacher candidates.
- To provide students with experiences in high school that will
keep them committed to becoming teachers throughout their college
career.
- To strengthen the image of the teaching profession through providing
information and counseling to students.
- To encourage personal growth of future educators through participation
in regional and state meetings, organizations, and workshops.
- To contribute to the educational experience by increasing student
involvement and pride in their school and in education.

Numerous activities are offered throughout the year including teaching and
tutoring programs, recreational activities, teacher appreciation days, fund
raising events, leadership preparation programs, and school and community
service projects. |
