This video explains the process of setting up 2 factor authorization for your HISD Google account.

Huntington ISD we use two-factor authentication to protect our Google account it is very important that you set up your two step verification immediately when your account is created your account will expire in 10 days and have to be recreated if this was not done hi welcome to Huntington ISD my name is Doris. And I wanted the district technology specialist and I'm here to help you authenticate your Google email account the first thing I want to do is go to the Google Play store or the App Store on your smartphone and download the Google Authenticator app it may be an icon that looks like the or it may be an icon that looks like this the app has recently updated so it could be either one of these if you already have an authenticator app on your phone that'll probably work just fine in a Chrome web browser log into your Google account that was created by the district configure email address enter the password that was given to you for your account Stan create a new password in mind that in Huntington your password mean to be at least 14 characters long and he's going to put it in number Capitol special character something along that line Quick Connect I guess I'm in got it customize if you wish then don't need to go to your Google app waffle in the upper right-hand corner and click account on the left-hand menu click security the section that says how you sign into Google and click on the 2-step Verification link get started answer your phone number how to go to send you a text message or a phone call this will make your phone to your account to Aid in Authentication enter the code that Google send you to your phone you get next turn on go back into the section for signing in with two step verification and at this point you can choose how you manage that the different ways that you can authenticate your Google account is with backup codes that you can print off and she going to fix your place OSU go prompts it will be prompted to be sent to your phone to either your Google app funny such as Gmail or YouTube or even as a text message employee for first use the authenticator app method and when you choose that click the arrow next to that quick setup Authenticator and then you open the authenticator app on your phone that you choose to use click the plus button add an account and then scan this QR code what do you scan a QR code click next on your phone you'll see an authenticator code for your email account enter that code here terrifying and now you're ready to go Google has decided that the authenticator app is your default method of Authentication from now on when you log into your Google account you will need to authenticate the account you open a new tab if your account is loaded to the browser you will need to find it again email address and the new password you created point you need to open up your Google Authenticator app a picture of the code on your phone that is associated with that account Wichita Seneca did you will have your all of your Google apps available in your waffle like your calendar Google Classroom.
